Validation

Case studies, test data & certifications

This page is intentionally light until there is real pilot data to show. Publishing unproven claims here would undermine the trust this page is meant to build.

What's confirmed today

Validated in simulation and in a wind tunnel — pilots underway next

Flotier's aerodynamic design didn't skip straight to marketing claims. Here's the validation work actually completed to date, and what's still in progress.

2022–2025

Research & simulation

4,000+ hours of R&D and 600+ CFD simulations across design variants, modelling airflow over both pitched and flat-roof buildings.

2025

Wind tunnel testing

Aerodynamic design tested and validated in controlled wind tunnel conditions.

2026

Pilot installations

Czech Republic pilot installing now; Slovakia, Sardinia and Poland planned within three months.

CFD simulation of wind speed over a pitched-roof building

Pitched roof — wind separates and accelerates at the ridge

CFD simulation of wind speed over a flat-roofed building

Flat roof — accelerated flow at the leading edge, turbulent wake behind

Wind tunnel test report

Testing is complete; the full facility report is pending confirmation before publication — see Technology.

Report pending

Pilot case studies

Will be published here as the four pilot installations (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sardinia, Poland) go live — anonymised where required.

Coming after pilots

Certifications

CE marking, electrical standards, and building code compliance — see Technology.

In progress
Case studies and the full wind tunnel test report will be added here as pilot installations complete and facility details are confirmed. Patent status (granted in the Czech Republic; second patent filed, EU-wide process underway) is documented on the Technology page.
